Trying to be a Supple Leopard in Drywall Dust

Hey Everyone! Hope you're having a good week so far. We are in serious construction mode around here and I've just about had it with contractors, dry wall dust and my laundry room looking like this:

The painters are still working on the pantry, contractor is coming to demo the master tomorrow, so all pantry and closet contents are in the laundry room. I want to crawl right out of my skin, but am trying to keep it all together!

All that hot mess-ness aside, I find that if I let the clutter get to me, I have much less patience for my husband and sweet boys. To come back to center and get some endorphins going, I've been working out my $18/month YogaGlo membership like a total boss and LOVING it. I've done this class twice now and have felt like I probably shouldn't be operating a motor vehicle afterwards. Yoga just makes me so calm and happy and strong.

I was expecting a little more guidance through the poses to help you fine tune them, but found that there are separate lessons that focus on that so, I have those queued up for this week and next. I'm having some serious muscle imbalance issues and trying to figure out how to work them out. My left hamstring is always crazy tight - someone told me it was because one leg is longer than the other - but I'm fairly confident I can either roll it out, or stretch it out. I'm definitely not a supple leopard right now.

Have you ever had muscle imbalances? I'd love to hear your suggestions on how to fix them!

  1. I need to get back into yoga! I also can't wait to have my own place to remodel (and the money to do so lol)... I graduate in December and can't wait to decorate!

  2. I also love how I feel post-yoga, but don't do it nearly enough. Supple leopard? Shiz...I'm just trying to maintain my Bendy Cougar status ;-)
